Committee Mission:
Identify and promote policies and projects which enhance the economic vitality of downtown.

Meeting time & location:
3rd Thursday every month at 8:00am, 122 W. Washington Ave., 1st Floor Conference Room

Chair: Tom Bergamini (SCS BT Squared, Inc.)

Current Committee Projects:
  • Work with City staff and other key partners to complete the Downtown Plan
  • Monitor and influence the Zoning Code Rewrite Advisory Committee
  • Communicate DMI priorities with City staff and assist with implementation of the City Economic Development Plan
  • Work with key partners to influence development in the Capitol East District
  • Communicate the importance of Tax Incremental Financing as an economic development tool to the City of Madison Common Council and the city at large
  • Analyze issues, identify solutions and recommend policies to insure a strong employment environment downtown.
