Transportation & Parking
Committee Mission:
Encourage people to live, work, and visit downtown by facilitating their movement to, from, through, and within downtown.
Meeting time & location:
2nd Friday of every month at 8:00am, 122 W. Washington Ave., 1st Floor Conference Room
Chair: Matt Carlson (Michael Best & Friedrich)
Current Committee Projects:
- Identify transportation needs and behaviors of downtown residents, commuters, and visitors
- Communicate and promote transportation issues in the Downtown Plan
- Monitor and advocate for the Regional Transit Authority
- DMI Bicycle Sub-Committee: Examine cycling infrastructure for Madison bicyclists and work with the City of Madison to implement improvements
- Advocate for implementation of a parking plan in downtown Madison
