2011 DMI Annual Dinner
On Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center, close to 500 DMI members, friends and downtown stakeholders gathered in celebration of the 2011 DMI Annual Dinner. Attendees enjoyed a great evening of networking and dinner as well as a keynote presentation by Holly Wiedemann, founding principal and President of AU Associates, Inc.
The dinner also served as the venue to present the 16th annual Community Asset Awards. The awards were developed as a way to publicly thank individuals and organizations who contribute significantly to improving the quality of life within the downtown community. The 2011 Community Asset Award recipients included four downtown Madison churches: Bethel Lutheran Church, First United Methodist Church, Grace Episcopal Church and St. John’s Lutheran Church. The award was also presented to Trek Bicycle Corporation and to Saris Cycling Group.
