2017 DMI Annual Dinner

On Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center, a sellout crowd of 700 DMI members, friends and downtown stakeholders gathered in celebration of the 2017 DMI Annual Dinner. Attendees enjoyed a great evening of networking and dinner as well as a keynote presentation by Calvin Gladney, Managing Partner of Mosaic Urban Partners, on why promoting social equity and leveraging innovative public-private partnerships will help build thriving and inclusive cities and downtowns. The evening also featured a special recognition and celebration of DMI President, Susan Schmitz who will be stepping down after 19 years of service to the organization. The recognition included the presentation of a custom bike rack to be installed in Lisa Link Peace Park in honor of Susan as well as special remarks by Margaret Watson, CEO of Steve Brown Apartments and Gary Wolter, Chairman of Madison Gas & Electric.
