DMI members are encouraged to make the most out of their membership. The list below can serve as a guide to help take advantage of the benefits and opportunities offered to DMI members.

  • Attend DMI Programs - DMI offers two monthly programs that allow members to network and learn about topics relevant to downtown Madison. What's Up Downtown? is our monthly breakfast program that occurs on the fourth Thursday of each month from 7:45-9am. New Faces, New Places is a networking/social program that takes place at a downtown business or establishment on the second Thursday of every month from 5:00-7:00pm. New members often find that selecting one program to attend on a consistent basis is a great way to start building relationships with other DMI members.
  • Log in and update your member profile – our member-only database is a fantastic resource, keep your profile current and make sure to use this valuable networking tool.
  • Serve on a DMI committee - DMI's standing committees tackle tough policy issues and advance the progress of downtown. Meetings are held monthly and are typically an hour in length.
  • Sponsor a DMI program - DMI offers several opportunities for members to promote their businesses and build community relationships by sponsoring or hosting one of our programs.
  • Volunteer for Education - Get involved by giving back to the Madison community by donating your time and making a difference through one or more Volunteer for Education opportunities!
