Gravy is a new software startup company formed by serial entrepreneur Brian Wiegand which will find a home near the top of State Street. Gravy's new location at 202 State Street provides the company with access to the businesses and professional services around the Capitol Square, yet the location's appeal to UW students should help attract tech talent. Ross Rikkers of Cresa helped them find a spot that will support Gray's company culture, maintain flexibility and allow for future growth.

Come join Sustain Dane for their Disrupting Biases to Boldly Expand your Board training session. This session will teach participants to identify common unconscious bias that prevents their successful preparation, recruitment, and onboarding of board members of diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Participants will walk away with a better understanding of their role in ensuring the highest level of leadership reflects their stakeholders. They will prioritize expanding the board in order to effectively deliver on their mission. The session is taking place on Wednesday, March 1st from 5:30-7:30pm at the Madison Central Public Library. Mark your calendars for Porchlight’s Chef Tasting on February 28, at 6 pm, to be held at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery on the UW campus. For your culinary delight, chefs from some of Madison’s finest restaurants will create small plate appetizers for you to enjoy. This year’s theme is Mardi Gras. Participating restaurant chefs are from Brasserie V, Cambridge Winery, Cento, Fresco, Fromagination & Roth Cheese, Merchant, Quivey's Grove, Steenbock’s on Orchard and The Statehouse. Pedersen is responsible for the product and business development area of Actuarial.
