In May 2016, the Madison College District Board directed College administrators to identify an expanded facility to serve South Madison and the surrounding area. Madison College is hosting three community forums to discuss how the College will engage the South Madison community over the next several months in the planning for this facility and the academic programs and student services that are in greatest need here. The forums are taking place on Monday, December 5 at 6:00pm at the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County, 4619 Jenewein Rd., Madison, WI, Friday, December 9 at 5:30pm at the Urban League of Greater Madison, 2222 S. Park St., Suite 2000, Madison, WI, and Monday, December 12 at 5:30pm at the Latino Academy of Workforce Development, 1917 Lake Point Dr., Madison, WI.

Come join Wegner CPAs for Wake Up with Wegner on Thursday, January 19th from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM. The seminar will be held at Sheraton Madison Hotel, 706 John Nolen Drive, Madison, WI. A light breakfast will be provided. At the seminar, local Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Expert Eagan Heath will discuss the online elements and practices he uses to make local businesses jump to the top of the search engine results pages. He will also show how businesses can quantify their SEO and other online search efforts using sales funnels. Pre-registration is appreciated.

Join the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Dane County for a night of networking at the next Enlace networking event on Thursday, December 8th from 5-7pm at Yahara Bay located at 6250 Nesbitt Road, Fitchburg. Enjoy networking, appetizers and drink specials. Tours will be provided at 5:30pm and 6:30pm. A percentage of all cocktail and bottle sales will go toward providing meals to Second Harvest. Come to the Isthmus Brass Concert on Thursday, December 8th at 7:30 pm. The concert is held at First United Methodist Church, 203 Wisconsin Ave. Madison. There will be a free offering to benefit Porchlight with an anonymous donor matching dollar for dollar donations received. Porchlight strives to decrease the homeless population by providing shelter, housing, supportive services and a sense of community.

National commercial real estate trade magazine Real Estate Forum has compiled a list of the top 50 real estate professionals under the age of 40 from across the country. Matt Apter, of Cresa, was honored to receive the award. He is the only broker from Wisconsin to be given the distinction. According to Real Estate Forum, "These are the best and brightest professionals of the next generation who are making strides in the real estate industry. These are the superstars who have stood out from the pack and will likely comprise the next batch of leadership in the business."
