The documentary CODE: Debugging the Gender Gap enjoyed an attention-grabbing debut at the Tribeca Film Festival in April. Now its inspired director Robin Hauser Reynolds, will bring her movie that exposes the dearth of female and minority software engineers and programmers in a Wisconsin debut with a special one-time Madison showing on August 6 at Sundance Cinemas 608. CODE explores the new '€œRosie the Riveter' moment for our society and challenges complacency in the tech industry. This exclusive Accelerate Madison event, with limited seats, will feature a networking reception, a screening of the film and a lively panel discussion with director Robin Hauser Reynolds. Special recognition goes to their title sponsor Smart Solutions, Inc. Come and hear answers to CODE’s key question: Why aren'€™t more girls and people of color seeking opportunities in computer science? CODE aims to inspire change in mindsets, in the educational system, in the startup culture and in the way women see themselves. Attendance is limited to the first 250 people, register today. Event Schedule: Director'€™s networking reception 4:30 p.m. Movie premiere 5:30 p.m. Post screening conversation with director & panel 7:00 p.m.
