KMG Software has made the move from the western suburbs to a new spot just off the Capitol Square. Cresa Madison was engaged by KMG to help find a new space with a more high tech feel. KMG decided to move their offices into the newly refurbished building at 214 North Hamilton Street, formerly a VFW facility.

This week marks the one-year anniversary of Upper|House! They first opened their doors on January 19, 2015, and over the last year have hosted nearly 40,000 guests. They are delighted to join such a vibrant work on campus and in the Madison community. Porchlight’s Chef’s Auction is being held on February 25th, 2016 at Wisconsin Institutes for Discoveries. Porchlight’s Chef’s Auction is a fundraiser to support Porchlight Products, a program to teach individuals with physical and mental disabilities, job and life skills by working with them to create local and fresh canned products such as sauerkraut and apple butter. Madison Ballet will present Repertory I at the Bartell Theatre. Repertory I features the work of three contemporary choreographers and includes four new ballets, creating a diverse program for dance enthusiasts of all ages. Venue: Bartell Theatre, 113 E Mifflin St, Madison, WI; Dates & Times: Friday, February 5, 8pm; Saturday, February 6, 2pm; Saturday, February 6, 8pm; Tickets: $30 adults; $25 child (12 and under)/senior; Children 2 and under free (lap seating only). Sustain Dane and First Unitarian Society are presenting an encore screening of Malik Kenyatta Yakini: Food, Race and Justic from the 2015 Bioneers Conference which took place on October 16-18th. Malik Yakini, Executive Director of the Detroit Black Community Food Security Network, will explore how the current industrial food system that supplies most of our food creates inequities, based in part on the social construct we call "race." He will share wise perspectives on addressing racism, thinking beyond the logic of capitalism and how we might create a more just, sustainable food system. The screening will take place on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the First Unitarian Society, 900 University Bay Drive. For more info, click here.

Women for Wish Kids benefiting Make-A-Wish Wisconsin will be held at Maple Bluff Country Club on Thursday, March 3, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. It's a night to celebrate fashion, food and friendship while raising funds to grant wishes for local children battling life-threatening medical conditions. Highlights include pop-up boutiques, silent auction, Kesslers Diamond Pull, tapas, wines and signature cocktails, California Closets' Key-To-The-Closet raffle and a runway show. After serving as an Assistant Attorney General at the Wisconsin Department of Justice ('€œDOJ') for the past three years, Attorney Sara K. Beachy is rejoining Axley as a partner and member of the Litigation and Construction & Transportation Focus groups. Ms. Beachy concentrates her practice in the areas of eminent domain/condemnation, municipal law, and commercial litigation. She is also experienced in constitutional, environmental and open records law. Ms. Beachy graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
