Old National Bank will donate 150 computers as part of the City of Madison'€™s Digital Divide Project. Since 2013, Old National has donated more than 3,400 pieces of electronic equipment to non-profits. The equipment donation is part of Old National's partnership with AnchorBank. All AnchorBank branches will be converted to Old National banking centers the weekend of September 9th. The Digital Divide is a pilot project started by the City of Madison focused on improving access to network/internet services and affordable computers.

Cresa is proud to announce that Gener8tor, Madison's famous incubator for startups, has relocated from 30 W. Mifflin Street to 326 W. Gorham Street. Gener8tor has been looking for a new, funky office space for some time and Ross Rikkers of Cresa Madison was able to negotiate this great lease. The location at 326 W. Gorham provides them with space that is very open with high ceilings, wood floors, exposed brick walls and great natural light.

Sustain Dane, a non-profit that champions sustainability initiatives in homes, neighborhoods, schools and businesses, will remain downtown for the foreseeable future. Sustain Dane had considered several relocation options, but Ross Rikkers of Cresa was able to renegotiate their lease with very favorable terms keeping them at 131 West Wilson Street.

Cresa was pleased to help Filament Marketing, a company that provides public relations and marketing to the Dairy and Agriculture industries, find a home big enough to accommodate their rapid growth. Filament Marketing will be moving from their offices at Blount Street to the brand new Watermark Lofts on John Nolen Drive. Aside from great views of Lake Monona, Filament Marketing's new space includes a game room, lounge, rooftop patio and many other amenities.

Join Madison Club members and guests for a fascinating active program of Wisconsin Dells history and Native American lore, Thursday, October 13 from 8 AM to 6 PM. Hike at Louis Bluff in Juneau County, a Dells landmark protected by Natural Heritage Land Trust, and enjoy a leisurely Wisconsin River boat cruise narrated by Melanie Tallmadge-Sainz, a talented visual and performing artist, educator, and member of the Ho-Chunk Nation. The 2016 Mayor's Neighborhood Conference is taking place on Saturday, October 8th at the Monona Terrace. This is the 20th anniversary of the first neighborhood conference where community leaders have been coming together to learn, share, and celebrate successes of their worthy endeavors. A variety of persons are expected to attend – those new to working on the neighborhood level to those that are well versed, staff from the city, county, and nonprofits, and business owners that bring value to the neighborhoods they serve. Vietnam War and Its Lasting Impact is a photo exhibition running from September 10th through October 16th in the Overture Playhouse Gallery and is being presented by Housing Initiatives and Overture Center. This special exhibition will feature the photography of two Wisconsin Vietnam War veterans. There will be an Exhibition Reception taking place on Wednesday, September 21st from 5-8pm and will provide a community update on the steady progress being made towards ending veteran homelessness in Madison this year. Each year Madison Public Library partners with UW-Madison to extend the perennially popular Go Big Read program into the broader community with book discussions and other events. This year, the program is based around the powerful and timely book Evicted by Matthew Desmond, which follows several Milwaukee residents as they struggle to find and keep housing in some of the city's poorest neighborhoods. The author will be speaking at the Memorial Union on Tuesday, November 1st and a resource fair is being held at the Central Library a week later on Wednesday, November 9th in order to provide an opportunity for anyone interested to learn more about how the issues addressed in the book affect our community, how organizations are working to address these issues, and how others can get involved. The Latino Chamber of Commerce of Dane County is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Cavazos as its new Executive Director, effective September 1, 2016. The LCC recognizes Cavazos as an experienced leader with passion, drive and commitment. Cavazos was formerly the President of the Eleva Group, an organization whose mission was to create social programs, help non-profits with governance issues and assist for-profit and non-profit entities in implementing initiatives aimed at promoting actions that are both economically and socially beneficial. In addition to her work with the Eleva Group, Cavazos has extensive experience in government relations, policy, community engagement and business development.
